Newcastle United have addressed speculation surrounding striker Alexander Isak’s future following his recent statement about his situation at the club.
The Swedish forward was absent from the Magpies’ opening Premier League clash against Aston Villa, fueling reports that he is pushing for a move away. Liverpool are understood to have tabled an offer for Isak, but Newcastle swiftly rejected the bid — a decision that reportedly left the player frustrated.
In response, the club issued a statement expressing disappointment at Isak’s stance but made it clear they have no intention of selling him. Newcastle emphasized that the striker remains under contract and they look forward to welcoming him back into the squad.
